Our Story

We started out of Stanford University in 2014, providing shared housing in Silicon Valley for engineers from Stanford, Tesla, Facebook, Google, Apple and SAP. It was a passion project, born out of how hard it was to find somewhere good to live among good people.

Our Mission

We believe history progresses because small groups of intelligent, motivated people decide to work together with a singular focus. We hire the best from around the world to further our mission of building global communities of trust — communities that gradually rebuild the civic societies now facing unprecedented technological, socioeconomic and environmental challenges.

What We Do

Cohouse rents properties whole or space by space — a room, an apartment, a cottage or an entire house. Hosts list a property and set their prices; renters search, view, apply and sign, and we handle the screening, the agreements and the money in between.
